Introduction

Words are powerful, and they can help you get what you want in life. But it’s not always easy to come up with the right power words at the right time, especially when you’re trying to convince someone of something important.

In this blog post, I’ll share a list of some of my favorite power words that will help boost your confidence and make your message stand out.

Achieved

Achieved is a positive power word that describes the achievement of something. It can also be used to describe the completion of a task.

For example: “She achieved her goal by working hard.”

“He achieved his dream of becoming an actor.”

Acquire

To get or receive something.

To get the better of someone or something.

To gain possession of something.

Active

Active is a powerful word. It’s an active verb, an active voice, and it also makes you think of active listening and active learning. Active people are great to have in your life; they’re not passive or lazy. They’re dynamic, energetic, and engaged with their surroundings.

Actively

  • A person who is actively engaged in doing something. For example, “John was actively involved” or “He was actively working”.

Advanced

The power word “advanced” is often used in the business world to describe someone who has a degree and/or experience in their field.

It can also be used to describe an early version of a product or technology, as in “advanced analytics” and “advanced weaponry.”

For example: “It’s advanced for her age,” or “His knowledge was far more advanced than mine.”

Affluent

Affluent is a term used to describe a person or family who has an abundance of wealth, or whose income exceeds a certain threshold.

Ambitious

Ambitious is a power word that means you are determined to achieve your goals.

Angel Investor

An angel investor is a high-net-worth individual who invests in start-up or early-stage businesses.

They typically provide capital for the business to grow, but they also provide strategic guidance and mentorship.

It’s also a word for describing something as being attractive, appealing, and alluring. If you want to say that something is enjoyable and pleasant then luscious is your power word!

Iconic

Iconic can also be used to describe people who are known for doing something amazing—like Neil Armstrong or Steve Jobs.

Breathtakingly

Breathtakingly is a powerful word that means “to cause someone to feel awe-inspired.” When you use this word, it shows others that you have a great vocabulary and can think outside the box.

Fascinating

Fascinating is a power word that describes something that is so interesting, it captures your attention.

It can also be used to describe something that is very complicated or difficult to understand.

Purely

The power word “pure” means to be free of impurities. Something that is pure is not mixed with any other substance, or not combined with anything else.

For example: “The air in the mountains is pure.”

Powerful

Powerful is a power word that describes how you feel about yourself, how you see yourself, and how others see you. It’s a word that describes your actions, abilities, and potential.

It’s a word that describes what you do and what you can do.

Unforgettable

You want to make your message unforgettable. You want it to be remembered.

There are many ways to make something unforgettable!

Acclaimed

A power word used to describe someone who has achieved a great deal of success, or is admired by many people.

For example: “When an athlete like LeBron James wins an NBA championship and then wins the league’s Most Valuable Player award the next year, it’s obvious he’s been acclaimed.”

“Tom Cruise was acclaimed for his performance in the 1986 film Top Gun.”

With advantages to you, your business, career, life, and health.

Advice

Advice is a noun and a verb. It means to give information or a suggestion or to help someone make a decision. The advice comes from the Latin word adviser, which means “to consider.”

Advocate

  • An advocate is someone who supports or promotes a cause.

Align

Alignment is the state of being in harmony with one’s self, others, and the universe. It’s about aligning with who you are and what you believe in.

This can be as simple as aligning your values, beliefs, or goals with those of your family members or friends, but it can also mean connecting to something bigger than yourself.

Amplify

Use this power word to amplify the positive. When you amplify something, it means that you make it louder or more powerful. You can amplify your strengths, your message, and impact, or your efforts—and have an even greater impact on those around you.

Don’t be afraid to amplify what makes us human—our emotions and our experiences. This is a great technique for making new connections with people when they hear words they relate to deeply in their lives (like “amplify”). In fact, if used correctly, this one could change how people view themselves forever!

Astonish

Astonish is a power word that means to surprise or shock. It’s often used to describe the feeling of being amazed by something, like when someone’s performance impresses you.

For example, “I was astonished at how well he played.”

Attainable

If you want to be successful, you need to set attainable goals. An attainable goal is one that is possible to achieve.

You should make your goals as simple and concrete as possible.

For example, instead of writing down “I want to lose weight” write down how much weight you will lose or what health improvements you will make (e.g., “I will lose ten pounds by June 1st”).

Authentic

Authentic people are genuine. They are honest and sincere. They are real, down to earth, and not afraid to be themselves. Authentic people have a strong sense of self; they know who they are and what their values are, which helps them make decisions with confidence.

Boastful

Boastful: “The country has the most powerful military in the world.”

Braggadocio: “I’m a better student than any of my classmates.”

Bragging: “I’ve got bragging rights.”

Braggart: “You don’t have to tell me I’m good!”

Boastful, braggadocio, bragging, and braggart are all synonyms for boasting. Brags have their own word as well! BRAG is an acronym for “Be really arrogant and gobsmackingly self-absorbed”, which can also be used as an adjective.

For example, you might say that your friend is such a BRAG that he or she makes sure everyone knows how good they are at everything they do!

Boosting

Boosting is a wordplay technique in which you try to give an existing English word a new meaning.

This can be done by using it in a context that implies it has a new meaning, or by using two different words that have similar sounds and then combining them to create a portmanteau.

For example: “I’m going to boost this couch up with some pillows so I can sleep on it tonight.”

Boldface

Boldface is a type of text style that makes the text stand out. It can be used to highlight important information, emphasize a word or phrase, or make text stand out.

Breathtaking

You can use the powerful word breathtaking to describe something that’s beautiful or impressive.

Examples:

  • The view of the ocean was breathtaking.
  • The concert was so exciting that I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time! It was truly breathtaking!

Confidence

You can learn to be more confident. It’s a skill that you can develop and improve over time. It’s not just about being able to do something, it’s also about believing you can do something—and then going out and doing it.

Confidence helps people achieve their goals, whether they’re big or small, long-term or short-term (like this blog post!).
